Any really good books out there?

I'm trying to get back into reading, are there any books that are worth reading that's not twilight or harry potter or Narnia or the inheritance series (Eragon, eldest, Brisingr, etc)? and pleas, don't suggest anything with the main characters being vampires, so nothing like twilight! thnx ;)
