Computer does not have a "port(?)" for a cameras memory card?

...and the picture will NOT download from the usb cord thingy! Q: is there an extra device where you can hook up to the usb port on your computer/ laptop (i have a laptop) to insert the cameras memory card: SanDisk- SD HC 4gb. Because i bought this Kodak "EasyShare" C195 camera for christmas last year ('10) and to this day i have not been able to upload any pictures. i went on Kodak's very confusing website, downloaded the application for the "easy share camera".. its the 14mega pixel.. C195. Can someone please help me or tell me if there is extension i can buy like a Best Buy?
