Can i encourage my budgies to mate if i play budgie mating calls ?

i have two rare parakeets from petsmart. chong , who i believe is a boy , has green on his stomach & back with spotted black wings but is mostly yellow . chi-chi , who i think is a girl , is almost all yellow , except for faint traces of green & black here & there . i know about the cere difference & chongs looks light purplish & chi-chi's is hard to tell . its a white pink tan color , but very light . chong's the singer & he also has pretty feathers , which i thought attract a mate , making him male . they were "kissing" when i seen them so i picked them both , chi-chi started breathing heavy & searching for chong when they took him from the cage . that gave me reason to believe they bonded , & chong tried to mount chi-chi yesterday . i have researched budgie breading & know since budgies are social , might need other budgies around to mate . i provided a nesting box , cuttlebone , mineral block , & a hearty seed mix . so that brings me to my question , can i play mating calls from other budgies to encourage mating or will it have an opposite effect ? i can email pictures of my budgies , e-mail me at chichiandchong@gmail.com. i had the birds for a year , & this is my first time breeding budgies & look forward to experiencing the joy of breeding & am seeking advice from a experienced.breeder . thanks in advance , tedd .
