Can i shoot rifled slugs through a smooth bore and full choke?

I have a mossberg maverick Model 88 28" barrell 12 guage with a full choke and i have some remington 12 guage 2 3/4 inch MAX dr eq 1oz rifled slugs and i wanna know if those would be safe to shoot through my gun, it can take 2 3/4 inch or 3inch shells so i know its the right size but i just dont wanna put a shell in and my barrell explode haha so can someone please help!!? do i need to get an improved cylinder??
